Day 1
Innisfail to Innisfail (loop)

Road Conditions: Some unsealed (a short section of road between Bramston Beach and Flying Fish Point is unsealed)

Commence with a visit to pretty Josephine Falls and enjoy some fresh local exotic fruits along this drive including Rambutans, Mangosteen and lychees.

Next stop is Eubenangee Wetlands National Park, via Miriwinni. View the native flora and fauna along the walking trails in this tranquil wetlands. Continue to Bramston Beach for a beach stroll amongst the beautiful scenery, then head onto ‘Peggy’s Corner’, the site of the original brothel that entertained local cane cutters many years ago.

Heading to Innisfail, visit the local sights such as Geraldton Lookout, the historic pub at Garradunga and Flying Fish Point for a spot of fishing. Meander back to Innisfail for the night.

Local Tip: Explore Eubenangee Wetlands via a 1km walking track where you can view different flora and fauna.


Day 2
Innisfail to Silkwood

Explore Innisfail and its historical architecture, art deco buildings and the Lit Sing Gung - Chinese Temple in the morning.

Head south-west to South Johnstone to view the narrow gauge tracks that serve the sugar mills including South Johnstone Sugar Mill and call into one of the local historic pubs in the area.

Be absorbed by the outstanding scenery of tropical rainforests and sugarcane plantations of the Mena Creek Area. Cross the suspension bridge at Mena Creek Falls and have a swim at the Mena Creek Environmental Park. Visit internationally renowned tourist attraction rich in Spanish history.

Stay overnight in the Mena Creek area in a local B&B, or continue on to Silkwood.


Day 3
Silkwood to Innisfail

Enjoy a lazy morning. In Silkwood visit the smallest National Australia Bank in Australia, take a stroll through the Botanical Gardens and head to the historic Silkwood Hotel for lunch.

In the afternoon, taste the tempting tropical fruit wines at Murdering Point, made from native Indigenous Australian fruits. Head to Mourilyan to visit the Mourilyan sugar mill and the Australian Sugar Industry Museum in the afternoon.

On the way to Etty Bay take a short detour to the ‘Natural History Museum' to see a great collection of butterflies, moths, shells and a saltwater aquarium. Visit Etty Bay, a quiet bay with a beautiful beach amongst the rainforest. Stay in Innisfail for the night.
