Day 1
Tully to Tully return
Distance (Km): 150 Km

Road Conditions: Some unsealed (a short section between Tully Gorge National Park and Murray Falls is unsealed).

Drive west from Tully to the Tully Gorge National Park. View spectacular Wet Tropics rainforest and go white water rafting. Continue to Tully Gorge National Park. It offers facilities and camping for the night (optional). Experience the nearby Butterfly Walk.

Heading south to Murray Falls, visit Kooroomool and Echo Creek and enjoy waterfalls, swimming holes, bushwalking and indigenous guided tours on the way. Visit Murray Falls before departing to Tully via Euramo, for the night.

Local Tip: Be at the Flip Wilson Lookout in the Tully Gorge at 1.00pm any day to see white-water rafters negotiate a tricky set of rapids.


Day 2
Tully to Mission Beach

Begin at the Tully Visitor and Heritage Centre for a free tea or coffee. Climb the Giant Golden Gumboot for the view and take a tour of the Tully Mill during the sugar cane harvesting season (June to November).

After Tully, head north to El Arish where you can visit a historic soldier settlement or have a cool drink at the pub. Watch out for the cassowary as you travel to Mission Beach.

Vist Bingil Bay for the spectacular beach and get active at the Lacey Creek Walking Trails before arriving for the night at Mission Beach.


Day 3
Mission Beach to Tully

Spend the morning exploring Mission Beach – a unique village full of community spirit. Relax, shop or dine in tropical surrounds. There’s plenty for the outdoors type. Explore the rainforest, try skydiving, or check out the reef. Climb Dunk Island’s Mt Kootaloo. Stroll along the beach or down one of the many walking tracks.There’s something for everyone .

For a taste of the area’s rich indigenous history visit the Interpretive Shelter at Butterfly Park.

On your return, stop at Paradise Winery for a unique tropical experience – they’re Australia’s only banana and tropical fruit winery. Continue on to Tully for the night.

Local Tip: For fresh produce or arts and crafts, check out the Monster Markets held on the last Sunday of the month (from Easter to December) in Mission Beach
